Digital Photography – Photography's Renaissance.

Digital photography is like any other activity – the more we put into it , the more enjoyment we will get out of it. You will enjoy learning new skills, and the fun and excitement that you will get out of creating and printing your own images.

Although there are little differences between traditional and digital photography when it comes to the creative aspects there are some things that you can do with your digital images that you will find either difficult or impossible to do with conventional photography.

Just to get your creative juices going here are some things that you might try once you get into your digital photography.
The most obvious is that you can publish them on a web site allowing millions of people all over the world to view them all at the same time.
Following on from this is the ability to send attachments containing your images and share them with friends and for business via e-mail.
You can make catalogues of your images, either for storage or for sending out for business reasons.
You can make and use copies, while storing your originals for safety.
There is no mess while printing.
You can automate actions in your software to print out your images easily when you want to.
Make panoramas by using the stitch option in your software.
Using your images and a software that is usually supplied with your computor you can turn your images into videos to show on u-tube.
As above but turning sequences of pictures into animation.
The changes that you can make to your pictures using your image manipulation software
are too numerous to mention here, and the full potential has not yet been realised.

Do you not feel fortunate or even privileged to be around during one of photography's great renaissances? Surely the answer is a huge YES. In which case put your computer down, get your digital camera out and start creating.
